University Temple Church

Demolition and hazardous materials abatement of historic church in the University District of Seattle.

The church was located just 10’ away from a new condominium complex that required the installation of protection measures and manual demolition methods. In addition, the church contained a 110’ tall bell tower located near an active roadway.

 

Equipment Utilized: Hitachi 850 Hi-Reach Excavator w/155’ Boom, Volvo 480 Hi-Reach Excavator w/90’ Boom, Link-Belt 350 Excavator.

 

Statistics: Approx. 7,300 tons of concrete were recycled and approx. 88% of all generated waste by weight was diverted from the landfill.
